Salsa
This sexy and passionate partner dance originated from the distillation of many Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances. Its' street origins makes it very accessible to people of all age groups and abilities and its relaxed form not only makes it fun but also exciting. The style that is taught here is the On1 slot-style that is currently the most popular style in the world ensuring that students will be able to dance Salsa no matter where he or she is in the world.
Classes are conducted in a progressive manner, with each successive class building on the foundations laid in the previous. Furthermore, a programme is in place to allow students to progressively graduate to higher level classes where they will learn more challenging material, all made possible by the basics laid in place in the foundation classes and through practice. As this is a social dance, partner rotation is practiced so that everyone gets to dance with everybody in class. Not only does this ensure that leaders and followers learn how to adapt, it also creates opportunity for people to get to know one another.

Salsa On2
New York! New York! The On2 style of Salsa is synonymous with the Big Apple and its rich history of music and dance. The On2 style is characterised by smooth execution of moves, fancy shines and strong musicality.
At DansFlava Studios, our On2 courses are suitable for beginners to Salsa but are aimed more towards On1 dancers seeking to enhance their knowledge and repertoire by learning the On2 style.

Street Cha Cha
Cha-Cha-Cha! Unlike the cha-cha that some of us may be more familiar with, the style taught in DansFlava follows more closely to the Cuban Street Cha Cha style. This style is preferred because the casual, relaxed nature of the dance allows for greater freedom of expression and play.

Intro to Street Latin
This is a one-off 6 lesson course to introduce dancers to the various street latin dances that are commonly danced in Salsa clubs, namely Bachata, Street Cha Cha and Merengue
The course aims to equip students with the basics of these dances so that they can dance and groove to the respective music in the club.

Turns
This is a one-off 6 lesson course for dancers interested in improving their turning and spinning abilities.
The course aims to guide students into developing proper turning techniques as well as equipping them with exercise to both condition their bodies and developing skills for effective turns.

Payment Terms
All courses comprise of 6 lessons. Price per course:
Adults - S$90; Full-time Students/NSMen - S$60.
For walk-in lessons, the price per class is:
Adults - S$20; Full-time Students/NSMen - S$15.
Existing students who start a new course within 3 months of completing a course with DansFlava Studios will receive a 10% discount on their next full course fee. This discount may not apply to special workshops conducted by DansFlava Studios nor to trial classes.
Members of the Salsa Fanatico Performance Company will also receive a 10% discount on all courses/classes taken with DansFlava Studios.
All payments to be in CASH or CHEQUE only. To register, please drop us an email at info@dansflavastudios.com.
Confirmation of course commencement will be communicated to you, via email, at least
1 WEEK prior to the indicated Start Date. If you do not hear from us, please contact us ASAP!
