For those looking for something more holistic, DansFlava brings to you courses in Pilates, Yoga and Stretch conducted by experienced instructors. We also have a specially designed class for mums and their kids!

Pilates


Created by Joseph Pilates as a form of exercise to aid in the rehabilitation for returning war veterans during World War I, Pilates has grown to a discipline practised by millions today, from athletes and dancers to the man and woman on the street. It aims to help practitioners improve on their alignment, core strength and flexibility through a series of strengthening, stretching and stabilizing exercises.

At DansFlava, our Pilates instructors will guide you safely through Pilates matwork exercises to help you develop the strength, flexibility and stability that Pilates brings. Classes are conducted on an open basis where students are guided through the exercises with variations of different difficulties for the same exercise thereby allowing beginners and experienced practitioners to work at their own pace.





Yoga

Yoga is a form of exericise that uses slow movements and stretching to help the yogi (yoga practitioner) in enhancing the yogi's flexibility and balance. It is also good way for people in relieving stress and relaxing from their hectic day.

Yoga has also been used as a meditation technique for thousands of years. As you exercise, you will be meditating on what your body is feeling and to try to be "one with the universe." In doing so, you will be calmer and more relaxed by the end of the session.

As with our Pilates classes, our Yoga classes are conducted in an open manner whereby practitioners of different competency are challenged individually in each class by our trained instructors.





Stretch


Feeling stiff, especially after a hard day's work or when you first wake up in the morning? Our stretch classes are designed to help you limber up, to ease those tension knots from your body and to leave you feeling lighter and looser.

In our open classes, beginners and experienced practitioners are guided through similar exercises but with variations depending on the individual's flexibility. Constant application will help you work towards a limber, looser self or even to that split that you've always been yearning for!
